Well, it’s March 2, which means I’ve just released my new novel, A Girl Apart.
This is somewhat of a departure for me, combining a conspiracy that spans decades with a mystery that’s sustained until the final pages. It features a new protagonist who will be getting her own series: Leah Mason, an investigative reporter who’s down on her luck after losing her dream job at the most prestigious newspaper in NY. Her career in shambles and her romantic life a zero, she stumbles across a conspiracy that will require all her skills to disentangle – along with a tall, dark stranger who takes her breath away.
This is the first novel featuring Leah, and I have high hopes for the concept – it’s got more twists than a silly straw and a pace that moves like a runaway train.
Here’s the blurb and cover. A Girl Apart is available on Amazon as an exclusive for 90 days.
Congrats! I grabbed a copy and shared the link all around. Break a leg with it!
An outstanding new work mate!!! Just finished it and can’t wait to read the next one, two, three and more!!! 🙂
A fantastic story!!! Love the new characters, especially Leah!
Can you imagine what could happen if she ran into Roxie and Black (and family) in California!!!
You’re The Master at creating the most innovative and clever characters and stories. Looking forward to whatever comes next!!!!!
Cheers
Alan
Glad you enjoyed it, Alan. Toss back a big Shiraz for me. One of the few things I miss, living in Mexico.
I’ve read almost all your books and have to say that this one is my favorite so far.. I’ve read a fair amount about the femicides in Juarez, and appreciate that your novel will help people remember reading about those atrocities and also reflect on the news they read. Please write another novel with Leah and Uriel. I’m certain his name is not a coincidence!
Hey Russell enjoyed the Story of your leaving the U. S. in favor of Cabo. I motor homed it for over 10 years, leaving the Central Valley the day after Christmas and not returning until first part of April. That came to a halt in2002 having had some medical problems that prevented travel. I’m not a fisherman, but enjoyed the life style of the area. really miss it! thought Girl Apart was a very good read and look forward to your next endeavor.
